It seems like every single day there is a brand new cell phone that one of the leading cell phone carriers are advertising and distributing. If you pay close attention, most of them have the QWERTY keyboard as a feature. Many people find the QWERTY keyboard on the cell phone annoying but I don’t understand why. If you use your computer at home a lot then you are using that same layout so why not use it on your cell phone all day as well? I simply see no difference honestly.
On to the point, let’s take a look at some of the best QWERTY keyboard phones today. Please keep in mind that this is not only the absolute best because we can’t simply write about all of the best ones out there but we will cover a few.
iPhone
While many people would say the iPhone is among the best, I’d say it is among the most popular. iPhones have been having a lot of problems as of late, especially the new iPhone 4 (which I recommend to stay away from until they get the butts in gear!). The new iPhone 4 has a sleeker design that is a bit more square than the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS as you can see in the pictures. The iPhone 3G(S) is to your right with the newer iPhone 4 to your left.
Aside from the problems, the iPhone does entail a QWERTY keyboard that is easy to use being a touch screen phone. The iPhone is great for playing games, social networking, etc. Don’t forget to reset it every once in a while to ensure that it provides maximum productivity (hold the home and power button at the same time until it turns off and the Apple logo appears).
BlackBerry (Curve, Bold, Storm, etc.)
Ah, the legendary BlackBerry. Many people have problems with these as well, but who doesn’t have a problem with a cell phone, right? The BlackBerry is of best use to a businessperson that receives e-mails regularly as you will receive instant notification of an e-mail and you can reply immediately or later. Definitely one of the best choices for the business minded individual.
The BlackBerry Storm and Storm2 are the only touch screen BlackBerry’s that have been made thus far. The Storm2 has an enhanced 3.3inch touch screen display and is excellent for the business user. The BlackBerry Tour 9630 has been created to work abroad properly on GSM networks and comes equipped with a QWERTY keyboard and a sleek, stylish design. The BlackBerry Bold 9700 has a very reactive QWERTY keyboard, optical mouse, and a vivid high-resolution 2.4 display. It is the first BlackBerry to have made its mark with T-Mobile. It can also be purchased with AT&T.
Many of the older BlackBerry phones come with a ball mouse rather than the optical mouse, which is what you’ll find on newer versions of the BlackBerry for enhanced navigation ease.
Android OS Phones (Droid, Droid Incredible, Cliq, etc.)
There are several different types of Android network phones including but not limited to the HTC Droid Incredible, Motorola Droid and Motorola Cliq. The Motorola Droid has a large touch screen display and QWERTY keyboard. It also superior battery life, decent call quality, and the capability of browsing the web quickly. The Motorola Droid is the one that is taking our TV’s by stream – it has the cool commercials that sounds like a robot is talking “Droid.” The Motorola Cliq has the same features apart from the long battery life and has easier access to extensive social networking features.
Palm Pre
There are a lot of different variations of the Palm such as the Palm Pre, Palm Pixi, Palm Pixi Plus – all of which come with a QWERTY keyboard. The Palm Pre has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a touch screen display and is recommended for Sprint cell phone holders. Very popular and stylish cell phone that boasts the QWERTY keyboard.
LG Rumor Touch
LG Rumor Touch is a Sprint cell phone carrier phone that comes fully equipped with a QWERTY keyboard, a 3-inch touch screen, as well as the capabilities of accessing and connecting to the most popular social networks such as Facebook. If you are a looking for a touch screen that isn’t bulky but that is still chic and unique, then the LG Rumor Touch is definitely one for you if you are on the Sprint service.
So, if you don’t have a cell phone that speaks and displays the QWERTY language, you seriously need to get out and get one. Every cell phone carrier whether it be Sprint, Verizon, AT&T or another carrier, has some type of QWERTY keyboard cell phone. They can actually be quite addicting if you ever purchase one.
